Easy, fun songs to use in the classroom or sing along with young children. Playful songs that reinforce ideas on science, safety, counting, movement, creative drama, active listening and participation.
NOTES
The songs on this CD were inspired by young children and teachers to assist in teaching playful concepts and ideas. Many of the songs have easy, sing along lyrics, while others can be played and acted out. Safety Star won a National Challenge to encourage children to sit in the back seat of the car. From bugs to bubbles, aliens and monsters many concepts will unfold.
All of the songs on this CD were written or adapted by Susan, except Je je Kule and Funga Alafia which are West Aftican game chants that I learned through my many years of working with Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts. You Gotta Sing is an adapted Spiritual that works great as a warm up or cool down, suggesting a variety of ways to move. Looking for a Monster is a call and response song that suggests a variety of movements as you travel around any room. Palamazoo Hullabaloo is a song that suggests active listening, as children move in suggested ways and freeze during pauses. Enjoy!
